- Ferry from Lymington, then by boat from Yarmouth (sustainable transport), or walking / cycling.
- Bus routes – Southern Vectis onboard either of the following buses – No7, No 12, ‘Needles Breezer’, or ’Island coaster’
- By car – postcode PO39 0JD. Car parking is providing for and charged by ‘Needles Landmark Attractions’
Alum Bay

Once at Alum Bay, make your way to the beach either by chair lift or down the steps. You will find us at the end of the jetty. There is no ticket office at the cliff top, just the boats on the beach. Please pay on the boats once you’re onboard.
Disabled access
Whilst one of our larger passenger boats does have a disabled wheelchair access door, the access to us on the beach isn’t wheelchair friendly. The only route to us being either on the chairlift over the cliff or down 188 steps over the cliff (as shown in the drawing above). We can provide a quote for an exclusive trip from Yarmouth harbour on an hourly basis, where access to the boat is a little more wheelchair friendly. Just contact us.
